A chessboard is square and flat, consisting of 64 squares, 32 black squares and 32 white squares. In order to be secure in shipping we pack our chessboards in specially designed crates . The same care is taken for our chess pieces. GiantChess.com’s chessboards are hand crafted mainly of Indonesia teak. Some of our chess boards and chess tables are specially adapted for the chess pieces that come with them.
4" x 4" Board: The
4" x 4" chessboard is for 8"
chess pieces. There are 64 black and white squares.
Because this board is both small and light,
you can take it with you wherever and whenever
you wish to play chess. Individual square
weight is 4,5 ounces and total square
weight is 18 pounds.
6" x 6" Board: The 6" x 6" board is
used for our 12" chess pieces. It
consists of 64 squares, 32 squares are black
and 32 squares are white. Each square's
weight is 12 ounces and the total of all squares
is 48 pounds, and so is still quite portable.
8" x 8" Board: The 8" x 8" chessboard
is used for 16" chess pieces. It consists
of 64 squares, 32 squares are black and 32 squares
are white. This wooden chessboard is also portable,
and can be used for indoor and outdoor
play. Each square weight is 18 ounces and the
total weight of all squares for this chessboard
is 72 pounds.
12" x 12" Board: The 12" x 12" chessboard
is used for 24" chess pieces. As
with the other chessboards, this chessboard
consists of 64 squares, 32 squares are black
and 32 checks are white. Though each square
is 3 pounds and the total weight of all squares
for this chessboard is 192 pounds, it is still
capable of being transported.
18" x 18" Board: The 18" x 18" chessboard
is used for 36" chess pieces. It consists
of 64 squares, 32 squares are black and
32 squares are white. This chessboard can be
used both indoors and indoors, but will need
a wide area to be placed in. Each square
weight is 5 3/4 pounds and the total weight
of all squares for this chessboard is 368 pounds.
24" x 24" Board: The 24" x 24" chessboard
is used for 48" chess pieces. It consists
of 64 squares, 32 squares are black and 32 squares
are white. This chessboard, with a weight that
is twice that of the 18" x 18"
board, also will need a large area, indoor or
outdoors, to be placed in.
36" x 36" Board: Our 36" x 36" chessboard
is used for our 72" chess pieces. It consists
of 64 squares, 32 squares are black and 32 squares
are white. This is the chessboard with
the greatest area and is generally more suited
to being placed outdoors - such as in garden,
house yard, or recreational area. Its
weight is twice that of our 24" x 24"
board and is the largest chessboard we produce. » View

Fabric Board
The Fabric Board, which we use for our 4"
x 4" board and our 8" sets, is the most
portable and practical of all chessboard types.
Since fabric is light and furlable, this board
can be easily carried and stored, ready to be
used whenever you have the desire to play chess
and wherever you may be. Simply put it down in

Foam Chess Board
Like our wooden chessboards, our foam chessboard ( reserved for 12" x 12" squares) can also be attached to floor or ground. Because it is made from a kind of foam material, it is, like our fabric boards, very light and easy to carry, greatly appreciated by children. Wooden Checkers
A Set of Checkers consists of 24 Checker pieces,
12 pieces are dark and 12 pieces are light. All
of GiantChess.com Checker sets are artfully and
sleekly designed with the checker lover in
mind, using the expertise of our highly skilled
Indonesian artisans. The main material being cherished
Indonesian teak.
3" Diameter:
This is our smallest Checker set, and so
the most easily carried. The size of the pieces
fit nicely and comfortably into the hands of
a child, making it a children's favorite. It
can be played both indoors and outdoors.
4.5" Diameter: This checker set,
crafted as all the rest in beautiful and durable
Indonesian teak, has pieces which are 4.5"
in diameter, and so is also very compatible
with play by children, indoors or outdoors.
6" Diameter: This set, again
using the finest Indonesian Teak Wood, though
considerably larger than the previous two sets,
is still quite portable and suitable for play
indoors or outdoors by lovers of checkers of
all ages.
9" Diameter: This 9" Checker set can be attractively placed in any room of the house, on a terrace, or outdoors, ready to be played and enjoyed by all members of your family. It is easy to maintain, and is not too large that it can't be stored easily when necessary.
13.5" Diameter: This Checker
set, too large for most tables, is particularly
suited to be being placed on the floor, there
to be played with and enjoyed by all members
of your family. It is also suited to being carried
outside and played on the lawn or transported
to the beach.
18" Diameter: This giant Checker
set, like the one above, requires a larger
space than a table, such as the floor of
a living room, or in a large family room
where it can, once again, be played and
enjoyed by all members of your family, It can also
be transported outdoors when desired.
27" Diameter: This giant Checker
set is the biggest set that we produce at GiantChess.com.
It is 27" diameter and ideal for being
played outdoors, or in a large playroom
in the house. And it is still not too heavy

12" King Trophy: This 12"
King Trophy, also sculpted from original Indonesian
teak by the finest Indonesian craftsman, is
incrementally bigger than the 8" Trophy,
and so may be presented to the winner of a tournament
as the most highly sought-after prize, with
the 8" Trophy, or Trophies, going to the
runner-ups, or to the winners of lesser
divisions. It will also be cherished when displayed
in home, office, or elsewhere, representing
by its quality both the victor of the tournament
and its presenter.
Custom Trophy: We also offer
custom orders for Chess Trophies, including
specialized engraving. Please tell us your
requirements, give us a little extra time to
fulfill your order, and we will produce something
which will represent you as we ourselves
would wish to be represented.

This most practical chess product can be
used either as an attractive chess table with
drawer for storage of pieces, or disassembled
to be used as a foldable board than can be easily
transported with chess pieces stored inside. Made,
once again, from beautiful and durable Indonesian
teak, it can used and enjoyed indoors or outdoors,
anywhere and anytime you have the desire to play,
using whichever form that is, at the time, the
most practical. If this product appeals to
you, as it does to many chess players who would
like this convenience, we can also provide matching
teak wood chairs. Because of the variability of
the form and the equipment, there is a limitation
to the size of this product and it is best
utilized for our 8" chess set. In addition
to this, we also provide a similar checker
